Cek Cara Nonton dan Link Live Streaming The Game Awards 2023

Penyelenggaraan The Game Awards 2023 tinggal menghitung hari. Malam puncak ajang penghargaan bergengsi industri permainan video (video game) tingkat global ini berlangsung di Peacock Theater, Los Angeles, California pada Kamis, 7 Desember 2023. 

Dalam apresiasi tahunan kali ini, total ada 31 kategori dengan ratusan judul permainan yang masuk dalam nominasi. Gim-gim ini memiliki genre yang bervariasi baik dari developer indie maupun raksasa industri gim global. Tidak hanya gim, penghargaan nantinya juga diberikan kepada para pelaku industri esports.

Dari daftar nominasi, terpantau Baldur's Gate 3 dan Alan Wake 2 berada di posisi teratas dengan masing-masing mendapat 8 nominasi. Di posisi berikutnya, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 menerima tujuh nominasi. Adapun The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom dan Super Mario Bros. Wonder meraih lima nominasi.

Sementara itu, Game of the Year, akan menjadi pertarungan sengit antara Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, dan The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Jangan lupa pula, ada gim asal Indonesia, A Space for the Unbound yang dibuat oleh Mojiken Studio (developer gim yang berbasis di Surabaya) serta diterbitkan oleh Toge Productions (developer dan publisher gim berbasis di Tangerang) dan Chorus Worldwide, berhasil masuk dalam nominasi. A Space for the Unbound masuk dalam nominasi Games for Impact. 

Kategori ini memuat gim-gim yang dinilai punya pesan dan moral cerita yang kuat. Permainan karya anak bangsa itu bersaing dengan judul-judul lain yakni Chants of Sennaar, Goodbye Volcano High, Tchia, Terra Nil, dan Venba. 

Geoff Keighley sebagai pembawa acara The Game Awards 2023 membocorkan ada beberapa momen besar dan bintang tamu yang akan hadir dalam acara tersebut.

Momen itu termasuk kembalinya Flute Guy, game baru dari Sharkmob dan Level Infinite, pemutaran perdana dunia trailer Fortnite’s Rocket Racing, dan presenter tamu seperti pengisi suara Gonzo dan Kratos dari The Muppets yakni Christopher Judge. Ada pula penampilan dari Poets of the Fall sebagai band in-universe Alan Wake 2 Old Gods of Asgard.
