Cek Daftar Lengkap Pemenang PlayStation Game of the Year 2024 

Raksasa industri gim Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) akhirnya mengumumkan deretan pemenang acara penghargaan tahunannya, PlayStation Game of the Year. Ajang apresiasi ini merangkum berbagai aspek gim terbaik mulai dari sisi cerita, desain, grafis, hingga karakter favorit gamer. 

Manager Content Communications Sony Interactive Entertainment, Gillen McAllister, mengatakan bahwa PlayStation Game of the Year 2024 ditutup dengan total lebih dari 1,6 juta suara di seluruh dunia, untuk 19 kategori yang dihadirkan. Ajang ini memang melibatkan para gamer, khususnya pengguna PlayStation untuk ikut memvoting. 

“Terima kasih kepada mereka yang telah memberikan suara, dan tentu saja, kepada para kreator dan tim yang kreativitas dan kerajinannya telah dibagikan serta dinikmati di konsol PlayStation di seluruh dunia,” katanya dalam blog resmi perusahaan.

McAllister dan tim memberikan sejumlah catatan soal penghargaan tahun ini. Termasuk mengenai deskripsi dari beberapa kategori seperti Best Multiplayer Experience, Best Ongoing Game, dan Best Rerelease, yang memunculkan pertanyaan dari kalangan gamer. 

Selain itu, disebutkan juga bahwa jika sebuah gim sudah mendapatkan Platinum Trophy di kategori tahun sebelumnya, judul itu tidak akan memenuhi syarat untuk dimasukkan dalam kategori yang sama pada tahun sekarang. 

Ini khususnya menyoroti gim Grand Theft Auto (GTA) VI, yang tidak masuk dalam kategori Most Anticipated Game 2025 and Beyond. Sebab gim tersebut telah mendapatkan penghargaan Platinum di ajang sebelumnya.
