Daftar Pemenang The Game Awards 2024, Astro Bot Sabet Piala GOTY 

Ajang penghargaan dan apresiasi industri gim paling populer, The Game Awards (TGA) 2024 rampung digelar. Acara yang diselenggarakan di The Peacock Theater, California, Amerika Serikat tersebut telah mengumumkan deretan gim terbaik yang dirilis sepanjang tahun ini. 

The Game Awards 2024 menjadi perayaan industri gim dunia, yang merangkum judul-judul gim dari seluruh dunia. Di penghargaan tahun ini, sorotan utama diberikan kepada gim Astro Bot dari pengembang Team Asobi dan penerbit Sony Interactive Entertainment, yang membawa pulang piala Game of The Year (GOTY) 2024. 

Di kategori tersebut, Astro Bot bersaing dengan gim-gim terbaik yakni Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, dan Metaphor: ReFantazio. Tak cuma GOTY, Astro Bot juga memenangkan sejumlah kategori lainnya seperti Best Game Direction, Best Action/Adventure Game, dan Best Family Game.

Selain Astro Bot, gim yang juga menyabet banyak piala di TGA 2024 adalah Balatro, sebuah permainan kartu roguelike yang mencuri perhatian gamer beberapa waktu terakhir. Balatro memenangi kategori Best Independent Game, Best Debut Indie Game, dan Best Mobile Game. 

Ada pula permainan aksi peran Jepang yang mendapatkan pujian kritis yakni Metaphor: ReFantazio. Gim dari pengembang Atlus dan Studio Zero itu berhasil mendapatkan penghargaan untuk kategori Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, dan Best RPG. Adapun, Player’s Voice tahun ini jatuh kepada Black Myth: Wukong.
