Daftar Lengkap Nominasi BAFTA 2024, Oppenheimer Masih Mendominasi Ajang Penghargaan

Ajang British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) telah mengumumkan daftar lengkap nominasinya untuk tahun ini. Acara penghargaan bergengsi itu kembali menyoroti kontribusi terbaik Inggris dan internasional dalam bidang film dalam rentang satu tahun terakhir.

Setelah ini, BAFTA Film Awards akan mulai memasuki babak penjurian ketiga atau menjadi yang terakhir sebelum akhirnya daftar pemenang diumumkan. Nantinya, seluruh pemenang akan dibacakan dalam malam penganugerahan yang digelar 18 Februari 2024 di Royal Festival Hall, London.

"Hari ini kami menyoroti 69 film luar biasa yang sulit dipilih oleh para pemilih BAFTA untuk masuk ke daftar nominasi akhir. Selamat yang sebesar-besarnya kepada mereka yang masuk dalam daftar panjang hari ini, ini adalah pencapaian luar biasa dan bukti bakat fenomenal di industri kami,” ucap Ketua Komite Film BAFTA, Anna Higgs, dikutip Hypeabis.id dari laman resmi BAFTA, Jumat (19/1/2024).

Tak jauh berbeda dari ajang penghargaan lain, film biografi Oppenheimer masih menjadi karya yang mendominasi. Karya teranyar sutradara Christopher Nolan tersebut meraih 13 nominasi, dari film terbaik, sutradara terbaik, hingga skenario adaptasi terbaik.

Di urutan kedua, ada sutradara Yunani Yorgos Lanthimos yang pada tahun ini berhasil meraih 11 nominasi lewat film komedinya bertajuk Poor Things. Film ini berhasil masuk nominasi film terbaik, skenario adaptasi terbaik hingga aktris terbaik.

Selain itu, sejumlah film lain seperti Killers of the Flower Moon hingga The Zone of Interest juga makin bersaing ketat. Film terkemuka lainnya termasuk Anatomy of A Fall, The Holdovers, dan Maestro, juga mendapat tujuh nominasi dalam ajang BAFTA Film Awards ini.
