Daftar Nominasi The Game Awards 2024, Astro Bot & FF VII Rebirth Mendominasi

Ajang apresiasi industri gim dunia, The Game Awards, telah mengumumkan jajaran nominasi untuk gelaran tahun ini. Pengumuman yang diungkap melalui siaran langsung tersebut menghadirkan sejumlah kejutan menarik yang menambah keseruan perebutan gelar Game of the Year (GOTY). 

Di kategori paling bergengsi tersebut, enam judul permainan rilisan 2024 akan bersaing ketat. Ini termasuk gim yang dikembangkan oleh developer China, Black Myth: Wukong, yang memang menjadi salah satu highlight utama industri gim global sepanjang tahun berjalan.

Selain itu, untuk pertama kalinya, kategori GOTY menghadirkan nominasi dari konten unduhan atau ekspansi (downloadable content/DLC) dari judul soulike populer Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. Tak ketinggalan, daftar ini juga diisi oleh gim dari pengembang indie berjudul Balatro. 

Secara keseluruhan, nominasi The Game Awards 2024 didominasi oleh dua judul yang juga masuk dalam kategori Game of the Year tahun ini. Mereka adalah Astro Bot dari Team Asobi dan Sony Interactive Entertainment, serta gim Final Fantasy VII Rebirth dari Square Enix. Keduanya mampu meraih 7 nominasi.
