Simak Daftar Lengkap Nominasi Piala Oscar 2022

Tahun ini, film The Power of The Dog merajai daftar nominasi Academy Awards ke-94 atau Piala Oscar dengan 12 kategori. Di posisi selanjutnya ada film Dune garapan Denis Villeneuve dengan 10 nominasi. Dua film lainnya yang mendominasi yakni West Side Story dan Belfast.

Nominasi Oscar tahun ini juga menjadi sejarah bagi sutradara Jane Campion, yang menggarap film The Power of The Dog, sebagai wanita pertama yang mendapatkan nominasi Best Director dua kali. Sebelumnya, dia pernah mendapatkan nominasi tersebut berkat film The Piano (1993).

Selain itu, aktor sekaligus sutradara Kenneth Branagh juga menjadi orang pertama yang mendapatkan tujuh nominasi Oscar dalam tujuh kategori berbeda. Pemain film CODA, Troy Kotsur, menjadi aktor tunarungu kedua yang dinominasikan untuk Piala Oscar, mengikuti jejak aktor Marlee Matlin.

Tahun ini juga ada beberapa kandidat yang ternyata absen dalam daftar Oscar seperti Lady Gaga lewat film House of Gucci dan sutradara Denis Villeneuve lewat film Dune, termasuk film Spider-Man: No Way Home yang tidak ada dalam daftar nominasi Best Picture.
